The neurosomaTIC DESIGN WORKBOOK
The Neurosomatic Design Workbook
The Neurosomatic Design Workbook came from thirty years of asking the question: why do some spaces inspire you and make you feel more like yourself, and others quietly drain you? This workbook offers a practical beginning framework for creating environments that support the nervous system. It covers concepts such as the use of light, texture, proportion, sound and olfactory awareness.
This writing is rooted in my design practice and in the land at One Feather Ranch in Mendocino, California and it features the glorious photography of Valerie Sinclair. She has the rare ability to bring these ideas to life visually. It’s written for designers, architects, wellness practitioners, and anyone who shapes the spaces where people live, work, and heal.
It’s a fun way to learn the concept of how our environment creates our every feeling and perception.
